Game Sound Design - Unity, Wwise, FMOD, various DAWs and Plugins, Voiceover Recording
Game created for an interdisciplinary masters level group project. The following video is my sound design contribution to the project: Voiceover recording, vocal editing, countdown music, game effects, ambiances, audio programming.
Initially the game was supposed to be a Mixed-reality (VR + Real World), two-player cooperative game, where one player is in VR and the other the real world. Objects in the real world and the Unity VR world would interact with one another using Arduinos and Raspberry Pis. Well underway developing the audio in Wwise and several of cross-reality devices, Covid forced us to change plans. To maintain the dual-environment feel, we changed it to a parallel play Desktop + Phone game. The gameplay takes place in a browser based desktop game, while the phone interacts with a companion web site to help the desktop game progress.
Since we moved to a web-based game, all the work done in Wwise had to be ported to FMOD since Wwise doesn’t integrate with WebGL in Unity.
